Install O-ring to oil pump assembly.
CAUTION:
- Do not reuse O-ring.
- Apply ATF to O-ring.

Install bearing race to oil pump assembly.
CAUTION: Apply petroleum jelly to bearing race.

Install oil pump assembly in transmission case.
CAUTION: Apply ATF to oil pump bearing.

Apply recommended sealant (Genuine RTV Silicone Sealant or equivalent. Refer to "RECOMMENDED CHEMICAL PRODUCTS AND SEALANTS ".) to oil pump assembly as shown in the figure.
CAUTION: Completely remove all moisture, oil and old sealant, etc. From the oil pump mounting bolts and oil pump mounting bolt mounting surfaces.

Tighten oil pump mounting bolts to specified torque. Refer to "COMPONENTS ".
CAUTION: Apply ATF to oil pump bushing.

Install O-ring to input clutch assembly.
CAUTION:
- Do not reuse O-ring.
- Apply ATF to O-ring.

Install converter housing to transmission case, and then tighten converter housing mounting bolts to the specified torque. Refer to "COMPONENTS ".
CAUTION: Do not reuse self-sealing bolt.

Make sure that brake band does not close turbine revolution sensor hole.

Install control valve with TCM.

Connect TCM connector and park/neutral position switch connector.

Install A/T assembly harness connector from control valve with TCM.

Connect TCM connectors.

Install O-ring to A/T assembly harness connector.

Install A/T fluid temperature sensor 2 to bracket.

Install A/T fluid temperature sensor 2 (with bracket) in control valve with TCM, and then tighten A/T fluid temperature sensor 2 mounting bolts to the specified torque. Refer to "COMPONENTS ".
CAUTION: Adjust bolt hole of bracket to bolt hole of control valve.

Install control valve with TCM in transmission case.
CAUTION:
- Make sure that turbine revolution sensor securely installs turbine revolution sensor hole.
- Hang down revolution sensor harness toward outside so as not to disturb installation of control valve with TCM.
- Adjust A/T assembly harness connector of control valve with TCM to terminal hole of transmission case.

- Assemble it so that manual valve cutout is engaged with manual plate projection.

Install bolts A, B and C to control valve with TCM.

Tighten bolt 1, 2 and 3 temporarily to prevent dislocation. After that tighten them in order (1 --> 2 --> 3), and then tighten other bolts to the specified torque. Refer to "COMPONENTS ".

Connect A/T fluid temperature sensor 2 connector.

Securely fasten terminal cord assembly and A/T fluid temperature sensor 2 harness with terminal clips.

Connect revolution sensor connector.

Pull down A/T assembly harness connector.
CAUTION: Be careful not to damage connector.

Install snap ring to A/T assembly harness connector.

Install magnets in oil pan.

Install oil pan to transmission case.
1. Install oil pan gasket to transmission case.
  CAUTION:
  - Do not reuse oil pan gasket.
  - Install it in the direction to align hole positions.
  - Complete remove all moisture, oil and old gasket, etc. from oil pan gasket mounting surface.
2. Install oil pan to transmission case.
  CAUTION:
  - Install it so that drain plug comes to the position as shown in the figure.
  - Be careful not to pinch harnesses.
  - Completely remove all moisture, oil and old gasket, etc. from oil pan gasket mounting surface.

3. Tighten oil pan mounting bolts to the specified torque in numerical order shown in the figure after temporarily tightening them. Refer to "COMPONENTS ".
  CAUTION: Do not reuse oil pan mounting bolts.
Install drain plug to oil pan, and then tighten drain plug mounting bolts to the specified torque. Refer to "COMPONENTS ".
CAUTION: Do not reuse drain plug gasket.

Install torque converter.
1. Pour ATF into torque converter.
  - Approximately 2 liter (2-1/8 US qt, 1-3/4 lmp qt) of ATF is required for a new torque converter.
  - When reusing old torque converter, add the same amount of ATF as was drained.

2. Install torque converter while aligning notches of torque converter with notches of oil pump.
  CAUTION: Install torque converter while rotating it.

3. Measure distance "A" to check that torque converter is in proper position.
  Distance "A"
  
  VQ35DE models : 25.0 mm (0.98 in) or more
  
  VK45DE models : 22.0 mm (0.87 in) or more
