DISPLAY CONTROL UNIT : Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK FUSE

    Make sure the following fuses of the display control unit are not blown.

    CONNECTOR TERMINAL SIGNAL CHART

    Connector Terminal Signal name Fuse No.
    M94 1 Battery 31
    10 ACC/ON 4
    12 ON/START 4

    Are fuses OK? 

    Yes: GO TO  2.

    No: If fuse is blown, be sure to eliminate cause of blown fuse before installing new fuse.

  2. CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
    1. Disconnect display control unit connector M94.
    2. Check voltage between connector terminals and ground as follows.

    Connector Terminal

    10 0V Battery voltage Battery voltage

    Are voltage readings as specified? 

    Yes: GO TO  3.

    No: Check harness for open between display control unit and fuse.

  3. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT

    Check continuity between the following display control unit connector terminals and ground.

    Terminals Ignition switch Continuity
    Connector Terminal -
    M94 3 Ground OFF Yes

    Is continuity present? 

    Yes: Inspection End.

    No: Repair or replace harness.
