2UZ-FE STARTING (FOR 1.4 KW TYPE) - SERVICE DATA

Starter assembly Specified current: 90 A or less at 11.5 V
Starter armature assembly Standard resistance:
Commutator: Below 1 Ω
Commutator - Armature core: 10 kΩ or higher
Standard diameter: 30.0 mm (1.18 in.)
Minimum diameter: 29.0 mm (1.14 in.)
Standard undercut depth: 0.6 mm (0.0236 in.)
Minimum undercut depth: 0.2 mm (0.00787 in.)
Maximum circle runout: 0.05 mm (0.00197 in.)
Brush length Standard brush length: 15.5 mm (0.610 in.)
Minimum brush length: 8.5 mm (0.335 in.)
Starter brush holder assembly Standard resistance:
Positive brush holder - Negative brush holder: 10 kΩ or higher
Standard spring installed load:
18 to 24 N (1.8 to 2.4 kgf, 4.8 to 6.2 lbf)
Minimum spring installed load:
12 N (1 kgf, 2.7 lbf)
Starter yoke assembly Standard resistance:
Terminal C wire - Brushes: Below 1 Ω
Standard resistance:
Brushes - Starter yoke body: 10 kΩ or higher
Magnet starter switch assembly Standard resistance:
Terminal 50 - Terminal C: Below 1 Ω
Standard resistance:
Terminal 50 - Switch body: Below 2 Ω
Starter relay 3 - 5:10 kΩ or higher (When battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 2)
3 - 5: Below 1Ω (When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)
ACC relay (Main body ECU) DD47 - DD8: 10 kΩ or higher (When battery voltage is not applied between DD45 and DD62)
DD47 - DD8: Below 1Ω (When battery voltage is applied between DD45 and DD62)
ACC cut relay 3 - 4: Below 1Ω (When battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 2)
3 - 4:10 kΩ or higher (When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)

for 2.0 kW Type:

Starter assembly Specified current: 100 A or less at 11.5 V
Starter armature assembly Standard resistance:
Commutator: Below 1 Ω
Commutator - Armature core: 10 kΩ or higher
Standard diameter: 35.0 mm (1.38 in.)
Minimum diameter: 34.0 mm (1.34 in.)
Standard undercut depth: 0.7 mm (0.0276 in.)
Minimum undercut depth: 0.2 mm (0.00787 in.)
Maximum circle runout: 0.05 mm (0.00197 in.)
Brush length Standard brush length: 15.0 mm (0.591 in.)
