Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (RAD NO. 1, ACC) 
    1. Disconnect the ACC fuse from the main body ECU.
    2. Disconnect the RAD NO. 1 fuse from the engine room junction block.
    3. Measure the resistance of the fuses.

      Standard resistance 

      FUSE (RAD NO. 1, ACC) TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      RAD NO. 1 fuse Always Below 1 Ω
      ACC fuse

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the K18 receiver connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K18-20 (GND) -Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION VOLTAGE

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      K18-1 (B)-Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      K18-11 (ACC)-Body ground Ignition switch ACC

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
