Inspection Procedure

NOTE:
When using the Techstream with the ignition switch OFF to troubleshoot:
Connect the Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the tester and vehicle begins.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER - INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL)

- Disconnect the J37 panel connector.
- Disconnect the J19 amplifier connector.
- Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER - INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL) RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition J19-37 (LIN1) - J37-3 (STX) Always Below 1 Ω J19-37 (LIN1) or J37-3 (STX) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher Standard voltage
HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER - INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL) VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition J19-37 (LIN1) or J37-3 (STX) - Body ground Always Below 1 V
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to Next Step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the J37 panel connector.
- Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition J37-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω Standard voltage
HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition J37-16 (IG+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V Ignition switch OFF Below 1 V
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to Next Step
- CHECK INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (OPERATION)
- Temporarily replace the integration control and panel with a new or normally functioning one.
- Check that the malfunction disappears.
OK: Malfunction disappears.
NG: REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
OK: Go to Next Step
END (INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY IS DEFECTIVE)
