Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - NAVIGATION RECEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the W2 display connector.
    2. Disconnect the K8 receiver connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      W2-26 (MUTE) - K8-6 (MUTE) Always Below 1 Ω
      W2-26 (MUTE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: Go to next step. 

  2. CHECK TELEVISION DISPLAY 
    1. Reconnect the W2 display connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      W2-26 (MUTE) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC, television display is playing → Changing modes 3.5 V or higher → Below 1 V

    NG: REPLACE TELEVISION DISPLAY  (see REMOVAL  )

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
