Component Inspection

  1. CHECK CONTROL DEVICE (DETENTION SWITCH)
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect control device connector.
    3. Check continuity between control device (detention switch) terminals.
      CONTINUITY REFERENCE

      Control device (detention switch) Condition Continuity
      Terminal
      10 11 Selector lever P position Not existed
      Other than above Existed

      Is the inspection result normal? 

      YES: INSPECTION END

      NO: Replace control device. Refer to "2WD : REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION " (2WD) or "AWD : REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION " (AWD).
