Check Control Device (Detent Switch) Circuit

With CONSULT-III
Check that when the selector lever is in P position, "DETENT SW" on the DATA MONITOR becomes OFF.

- Turn ignition switch OFF.

OK or NG
OK: Control device (detention switch) circuit is OK.
NG: GO TO 2.
- CHECK CONTROL DEVICE (PARK POSITION SWITCH) HARNESS
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect control device and driver seat control unit connector.
- Check continuity between control device connector and driver seat control unit connector.CONTINUITY CHART

OK or NG
OK: GO TO 3.
NG: Repair or replace harness.
- CHECK PARK POSITION SWITCH
Check continuity between control device (detention switch) as follows.

OK: Check the condition of the harness and the connector.
NG: Replace control device.
