Inspection Procedure

HINT:
Operating the ignition switch, any switches or any doors triggers related ECU and sensor communication with the CAN, which causes resistance variation.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the J28 combination meter ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION TABLETester Connection Condition Specified Condition J28-40 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
STANDARD VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION TABLETester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition J28-18 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V J28-20 (IG+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
