Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK STEERING WHEEL AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH RESISTANCE

Disconnect combination switch connector M102.

Check resistance between combination switch connector terminals.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES: GO TO 2.

NO: Replace steering wheel audio control switches. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".

CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN AV CONTROL UNIT AND COMBINATION SWITCH

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect AV control unit connector M96 and combination switch connector M30.

Check continuity between AV control unit connector M96 and combination switch connector M30.

Check continuity between AV control unit connector M96 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES: GO TO 3.

NO: Repair or replace harness or connectors.

SPIRAL CABLE CHECK

Check continuity between combination switch connectors M30 and M102.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES: Replace AV control unit. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".

NO: Replace spiral cable. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
