Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK DTC WITH IPDM E/R
Check "Self diagnostic result" with CONSULT-III. Refer to DTC INDEX .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 2.
NO: Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
- CHECK IGNITION RELAY FEEDBACK INPUT SIGNAL
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect BCM connector.
- Check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground.TERMINALS VOLTAGE REFERENCE
(+) (-) Condition Voltage (V) (Approx.) BCM Connector Terminal M123 123 Ground Ignition switch OFF 0 ON Battery voltage
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 4.
NO: GO TO 3.
- CHECK IGNITION RELAY FEEDBACK CIRCUIT
- Disconnect IPDM E/R connector.
- Check continuity between BCM harness connector and IPDM E/R harness connector.TERMINALS CONTINUITY REFERENCE
BCM IPDM E/R Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal M123 123 E5 19 Existed - Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.TERMINALS CONTINUITY REFERENCE
BCM Ground Continuity Connector Terminal M123 123 Not existed
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
NO: Repair or replace harness or connector.
- CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to INTERMITTENT INCIDENT .
