Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK DTC WITH IPDM E/R
Check "Self diagnostic result" with CONSULT-III. Refer to DTC INDEX .
Is DTC detected?
YES: Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.
NO: GO TO 2.
- CHECK IGNITION RELAY INPUT SIGNAL
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect BCM connector.
- Check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground.TERMINALS VOLTAGE REFERENCE
(+) (-) Voltage (V) (Approx.) BCM Connector Terminal M121 47 Ground Battery voltage
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: GO TO 4.
NO: GO TO 3.
- CHECK IGNITION RELAY (IPDM E/R) CIRCUIT
- Disconnect IPDM E/R connector.
- Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and BCM harness connector.TERMINALS CONTINUITY REFERENCE
IPDM E/R BCM Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal E5 27 M121 47 Existed - Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and ground.TERMINALS CONTINUITY REFERENCE
IPDM E/R Ground Continuity Connector Terminal E5 27 Not existed
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
NO: Repair or replace harness or connector.
- CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to INTERMITTENT INCIDENT .
