Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK STEERING SWITCH SIGNAL GND CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect TEL adapter unit connector and spiral cable connector.
- Check continuity between TEL adapter unit harness connector and spiral cable harness connector.CONTINUITY SPECIFICATION
TEL adapter unit Spiral cable Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal B237 14 M36 33 Existed - Connect TEL adapter unit connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Go to 2.
NO: Repair harness or connector.
- CHECK SPIRAL CABLE
Check spiral cable.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Go to 3.
NO: Replace spiral cable. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
- CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT
- Connect TEL adapter unit connector.
- Check continuity between TEL adapter unit harness connector and ground.
CONTINUITY SPECIFICATIONTEL adapter unit Ground Continuity Connector Terminal B237 14 Existed Is the inspection result normal?
YES: Go to 4.
NO: Replace TEL adapter unit. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
- CHECK STEERING SWITCH
Check steering switch. Refer to "COMPONENT INSPECTION ".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES: INSPECTION END
NO: Replace steering switch. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
