DTC Confirmation Procedure

If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

   TESTING CONDITION: 

   Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 11 V at idle. 

   : GO TO 2.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
2. Set selector lever to P position.
3. Turn ignition switch ON.
4. Make sure that air conditioner switch and electric load switches (lights, heater fan, rear window defogger) are OFF.
5. Select "DATA MONITOR" mode of "ENGINE" with CONSULT.
6. Check that the "COOLAN TEMP/S" indication is between 10°C (50°F) and 40°C (104°F).

   If "COOLAN TEMP/S" indication is within the specified value, go to the following step.

   If "COOLAN TEMP/S" indication is out of the specified value, cool engine down or warm engine up and go to step  1.

7. Select "DATA MONITOR" mode of "EV/HEV" with CONSULT.
8. Check that the "HV BATTERY TEMP" indication is 10°C (50°F) or more.
9. Confirm that the "SOC" indication in "DATA MONITOR" mode of "EV/HEV" with CONSULT is between 40 and 70%
10. Turn ignition switch ON and wait for 35 seconds.
11. Check 1st trip DTC.

    Is 1st trip DTC detected? 

    YES: Go to "DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE ".

    NO: INSPECTION END
