Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK TERMINALS AND HARNESS CONNECTORS

    Check power steering control module pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.

    Is the inspection result normal? 

    YES: GO TO 2.

    NO: Repair or replace error-detected parts.

  2. PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS

    ◦ With CONSULT 

    1. Turn the ignition switch OFF to ON.
    2. Erase self-diagnostic results for "EPS".
    3. Turn the ignition switch OFF and wait for at least 10 seconds.
    4. Perform self-diagnosis for "EPS".

    Is DTC "C1607" or "C1608" detected? 

    YES: Power steering control module is malfunction. Replace power steering oil pump assembly. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION " (With heated steering wheel), "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION " (Without heated steering wheel).

    NO: Check the pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector. If any items are damaged, repair or replace error-detected parts.
