Direct Adaptive Steering System

  1. PERFORM ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT) SELF-DIAGNOSIS 

    SYMBOL With CONSULT

    1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    2. Perform self-diagnosis for "ABS".

    Is any DTC detected?

    YES

    Check the DTC. Refer to DTC Index .

    NO

    GO TO 2.

  2. PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS 

    SYMBOL With CONSULT

    1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and wait for at least 10 seconds.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3. Perform self-diagnosis for "EPS/DAST 3".

    Is DTC "C13C7-00" or "C13E2-00" detected?

    YES

    C13C7-00 is detected: Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure .

    YES

    C13E2-00 is detected: Replace steering force control module. Refer to STEERING FORCE CONTROL MODULE : Removal & Installation .

    NO

    • Check enlarged contact spring of terminal. Refer to Inspection .
    • Perform intermittent incident while turning steering wheel. Refer to Inspection .
