Direct Adaptive Steering System

When removing the 12V battery negative terminal, initialize is required for operating the direct adaptive steering normally.

CAUTION: When replacing the direct adaptive steering component parts, perform the corresponding work. Refer to Work Procedure .

DIRECT ADAPTIVE STEERING INITIALIZE
1. Set the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position.
2. Connect 12V battery terminal.
3. Start the engine.
  CAUTION: Never drive the vehicle.
4. Turn the steering wheel from full left stop to full right stop.
5. Confirm the condition of turning the steering wheel is normal.
