Confirmation Procedure
- CHECK DTC PRIORITY
- If DTC P0046 is displayed with DTC P0643, first perform the confirmation procedure (trouble diagnosis) for DTC P0643.
- If DTC P0046 is displayed with DTC P2562 and/or P2566, first perform the confirmation procedure (trouble diagnosis) for DTC P2562 and/or P2566.
Is DTC P0643, P2562 or P2566 detected?
YES
Perform diagnosis of applicable.
- DTC P0643: Refer to DTC Description .
- DTC P2562: Refer to DTC Description .
- DTC P2566: Refer to DTC Description .
NO
GO TO 2.
- PRECONDITIONING
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.
- Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
TEST CONDITION:
Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is between more than 11 V at idle.
GO TO 3.
- PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
- Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 10 seconds.
- Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
- Check 1st trip DTC. (If actuator motor is stuck on the valve closing side, 1st trip DTC is detected during the above procedure. If 1st trip DTC is not detected, actuator motor may be stuck on the valve opening side. In this case, follow the instruction below.)
- Drive the vehicle and accelerate from 20 km/h (13 MPH) to 80 km/h (50 MPH) within 10 seconds.CAUTION: Always drive at safe speed.
- Check 1st trip DTC.
Is DTC P0046 detected?
YES
Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure .
NO
To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Inspection .
NO
Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END
