(Charge air temperature/Intake air temperature correlation)

Diagnosis condition

Engine running at idle

Signal (terminal)
  • Intake air temperature sensor 1 signal
  • Intake air temperature sensor 2 signal

Threshold
  • ECM detects a state that the temperature difference between intake air temperature sensor 1 and 2 remains 20 deg.C (68 deg.F) or less continuously
  • ECM detects a state that the difference between the temperature of intake air temperature sensor 2 and its estimated temperature calculated by ECM from intake air temperature 1 and turbocharger boost sensor remains 106 deg.C (223 deg.F) or more continuously

5 seconds or more
