Confirmation Procedure

If DTC P0331 is displayed with DTC P0332 or P0333, first perform the confirmation procedure (trouble diagnosis) for DTC P0332 or P0333.

Is applicable DTC detected?

YES

Perform diagnosis of applicable. Refer to DTC Index .

NO

GO TO 2.

If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

TESTING CONDITION:

Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is 10 V or more at idle.

GO TO 3.

1. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
2. Revving engine from idle up to 3, 000 rpm quickly.
3. Repeat the step 2 at 5 times.
4. Check DTC.

Is DTC detected?

YES

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure .

NO

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Inspection .

NO

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END
