EPS control unit operates the information such as the steerage torque signal from a torque sensor and the vehicle speed signal and produces the most suitable assist torque depending on the situation to EPS motor.

POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE
By receiving steering angle sensor signal, vehicle speed signal and torque sensor signal, the power steering control module calculates the current of motor drive according to the driving conditions. The power steering control module controls the EPS motor.
POWER STEERING TORQUE SENSOR
Power steering torque sensor detects the steering torque, and transmit the signal to power steering control module.
EPS MOTOR
The EPS motor provides the assist torque by the signal from power steering control module.
INDIVIDUAL OPERATION
EPS control unit communicates each unit via CAN communication system and receives / transmits the required signals to control.
PARTS LOCATION
EPS control unit is integrated with the steering column assembly.
