Confirmation Procedure

If DTC P05EC is displayed with other DTC, first perform the trouble diagnosis for other DTC.

Is applicable DTC detected?

YES>>

Perform diagnosis of applicable. Refer to DTC Index .

NO>>

GO TO 2.

If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.

GO TO 3.

WITH CONSULT

1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Select "DATA MONITOR" mode of "ENGINE" using CONSULT.
4. Check that "COOLAN TEMP/S".
   • If it is between 5°C (41°F) and 40°C (104°F) go to the following steps.
   • If it is below 5°C (41°F) warm engine up to more than 5°C (41°F) and retry from step 1.
   • If it is above 40°C (104°F) cool engine down to less than 40°C (104°F) and retry from step 1.
5. Start engine and let it idle for 5 minutes.
6. Check 1st trip DTC.

WITH GST

Follow the procedure "With CONSULT " above.

Is 1st trip DTC detected?

YES>>

Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure .

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Inspection .

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END
