DTC Diagnosis Procedure

1. Check the force motor angle sensor. Refer to Component Inspection .

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 2.

NO>>

Force motor angle sensor is malfunctioning. Replace steering column assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation .

1. 1. Disconnect steering force control module connector and force motor angle sensor connector.
   2. Check the continuity between steering force control module harness connector and force motor angle sensor harness connector.

   3. Check the continuity between steering force control module harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

Repair or replace malfunctioning component.

1. 1. Check enlarged contact spring of terminal. Refer to How to Check Terminal .
   2. Perform intermittent incident while turning steering wheel. Refer to Intermittent Incident .

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace steering force control module. Refer to Removal and Installation .

NO>>

Repair or replace malfunctioning component.
