"L" Circuit Open Test

  1. Turn ignition off. Check fuse No. 4 (7.5-amp), located in passenger compartment fuse/relay block. If fuse is faulty, replace fuse and recheck system. If fuse is okay, disconnect generator harness connector. Jumper generator harness connector terminal No. 3 (White/ Blue wire) to ground. See Figure . Turn ignition on. If CHARGE warning light illuminates, perform generator/regulator test. See GENERATOR/REGULATOR TEST  . If test light does not illuminate, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Check for faulty CHARGE warning light bulb. Replace as necessary. If light bulb is okay, repair open in circuit between harness connector terminal No. 3 (White/Blue wire) and CHARGE warning light.
