Inspection Procedure
- Inspect the left hand power window regulator motor assembly operation. When adding the battery voltage to each connector terminal, check that the motor operates smoothly. See Fig 1. See INSPECTING DRIVER'S DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR OPERATION table. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not good, replace the driver door power window regulator motor. See POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR (FRONT DOOR) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.INSPECTING DRIVER'S DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR OPERATION
Measuring Condition Operational Direction Battery Positive - Terminal No. 4, Battery Negative - Terminal No. 5 Clockwise Rotation Toward Driving Axis Battery Positive - Terminal No. 5, Battery Negative - Terminal No. 4 Counterclockwise Wind Rotation Toward Driving Axis - Check the wiring harness. Disconnect the master switch assembly (D17) and the power window motor (P7) connectors. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . Check the continuity of each terminal of the vehicle's side connector switch assembly. See INSPECTING POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH & REGULATOR MOTOR CONTINUITY table. If the continuity is OK, replace the power window regulator master switch. See POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If the continuity is not good, repair or replace wiring harness or connector.INSPECTING POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH & REGULATOR MOTOR CONTINUITY
