Intake Air Control Valve Assembly No. 3 (ES300)

With 7.9 in. Hg (26.7 kPa) of vacuum applied to actuator, ensure actuator rod moves. One minute after applying vacuum, check that actuator rod does not return. If operation is not as specified, replace intake air control valve assembly No. 3. Using an ohmmeter, check VSV operation. Resistance between VSV terminals should be 37-44 ohms at 68°F (20°C). Air should flow from port "E" to filter. Apply battery voltage between terminals. Air should flow from port "E" to port "F". See Fig 1.
