Test G: Even Though A Foreign Object Is Caught, Down Operation Does Not Function
- Check if the jam protection function operates. With the ignition switch ON, AUTO UP starts. After starting up by key OFF operation, AUTO UP or UP starts. If the results are as specified, go to the next step. If the results are not as specified, perform the function check. See JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
- With the ignition switch ON, check if AUTO UP and AUTO DOWN operates. If operation is as specified, go to the next step. If the operation is not as specified, go to TEST E: AUTO UP & AUTO DOWN DOES NOT OPERATE (PREPARE A NORMAL MASTER SWITCH) .
- Check if there is a foreign object caught in the jam protection function operating area (out of operating area: 4 mm away from the door glass fully opened position). If the results are OK, perform the function check after inspecting repeatedly. See JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING. If the results are not good, go to the next step.
- Reset the power window motor and assemble it to the vehicle. Check if the door glass operates normally. If the operation is OK, perform the function check after inspecting repeatedly. See JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING. If the operation is not good, replace the master or regulator switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
