Inspection Procedure

  1. Remove the power seat ECU with connectors still connected. While operating the power seat control switch and moving the seat, check voltage between connector P24 terminal No. 6 (PVCC) of the power seat ECU connector and body ground. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . If voltage is between 7.2-8.8 volts, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the problem symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX  table. If voltage is not as specified, go to the next step.
  2. Check for an open or short in the harness and check connectors of the position sensor power source circuit. If the results are OK, check and replace the power seat ECU. If the results are not good, repair or replace the harness or connector.
