Inspection Procedure

READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER
1. Connect the hand-held tester (with CAN BIN) to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON and press the hand-held tester main switch ON.
3. Select the items below in the DATA LIST, and read the displays on the hand-held tester.
  Driver seat ECU:

OK: Go to next step.

On the tester screen, each item should change between ON and OFF according to the above chart.

NG: Go to step 2

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
INSPECT DRIVING POSITION MEMORY SWITCH
1. Remove the driving position memory switch.
2. Measure the resistance.

NG: REPLACE SWITCH DRIVING POSITION MEMORY SWITCH

OK: Go to next step.
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DRIVER DOOR ECU - DRIVING POSITION MEMORY SWITCH)
1. Disconnect the D24 ECU and D26 switch connectors
2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

NG: REPAIR AND REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

OK: Go to next step.
