Section 581 (Air Conditioning System): Condenser: Removal

  1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    HINT:

    At the time of installation, evacuate air from the refrigeration system and charge system with the refrigerant and inspect for leaks of the refrigerant.

    Specified amount: 1,050 +/- 50 g (37.04 +/- 1.76 oz.) 

  2. REMOVE A/T OIL COOLER 
  3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  4. REMOVE DISCHARGE TUBE 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge tube from the condenser.

      Torque: 10 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    2. Loosen the nut and remove the discharge tube.

      Torque: 22 N.m (225 kgf.cm, 16 ft.lbf)

    NOTE: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system. 

    HINT:

    At the time of installation, lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install them on the discharge tube.

  5. DISCONNECT LIQUID TUBE 

    Remove the bolt and disconnect the liquid tube.

    Torque: 10 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    NOTE: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system. 

    HINT:

    At the time of installation, lubricate a new O-ring with compressor oil and install them on the liquid tube.

  6. REMOVE CONDENSER 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and the 2 upper bracket.

    2. Lift up the condenser, then remove the 4 bolts and the 2 lower bracket.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 center bracket.
    4. Remove the condenser.

      HINT:

      At the time of installation, please refer to the following item.

      If condenser is replaced, add compressor oil to condenser.

      Add: 40 - 50 cc (1.4 - 1.7 fl.oz.) 

      Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
