Inspection Procedure

  1. OPERATION CHECK 
    1. If the power slide door does not operate when tying to open it, proceed to A.
    2. If the power slide door does not operate when tying to close it, proceed to B.
    1. B: Go to step   3 
    2. A: Go to next step 
  2. CHECK SLIDE DOOR CLOSER SYSTEM 
    1. Check if the slide door closer system operates.
    1. NG: GO TO CLOSER SYSTEM (See  SLIDE DOOR CLOSER RH DOES NOT OPERATE  ) 
    2. OK: Go to next step 
  3. READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER 
    1. Using the hand-held tester, check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the handle operation detect switch.

      Standard (Power slide door ECU RH):

    1. OK: Go to step   6 
    2. NG: Go to next step 
  4. INSPECT SLIDE DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL SUB-ASSY RH (HANDLE OPERATION DETECT SWITCH) 
    1. Inspect the resistance of the switch.

      Standard: 

    HANDLE OPERATION DETECT SWITCH RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

    Terminal No. Lever Position Specified Condition
    1 - 3 Unlock 10 kΩ or higher
    Lock Below 1 Ω

    1. NG: REPLACE SLIDE DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL SUB-ASSY RH 
    2. OK: Go to next step 
  5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SLIDE DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL ASSY RH (HANDLE OPERATION DETECT SWITCH) - POWER SLIDE DOOR ECU RH) 
    1. Disconnect the S23 remote control and P27 ECU connectors.
    2. Check the resistance between the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard (Check for open circuit): 

      S23 REMOTE CONTROL AND P27 ECU CONNECTORS RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      S23-1 - P27-3 (HSW) Below 1 Ω
    3. Check the resistance between the S23 remote control connector and body ground.

      Standard (Check for open circuit): 

    S23 REMOTE CONTROL CONNECTOR AND BODY GROUND RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

    Terminal No. Specified Condition
    S23-3 - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: REPLACE POWER SLIDE DOOR ECU RH 
  6. READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER 
    1. Using the hand-held tester, check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the child protection detect switch.

      Standard (Power slide door ECU RH):

    1. OK: REPLACE POWER SLIDE DOOR ECU RH 
    2. NG: Go to next step 
  7. INSPECT SLIDE DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL SUB-ASSY RH (CHILD PROTECTION DETECT SWITCH) 
    1. Inspect the resistance of the switch.

      Standard: 

    CHILD PROTECTION DETECT SWITCH RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

    Terminal No. Lever Position Specified Condition
    4 - 5 Unlock 10 kΩ or higher
    Lock Below 1 Ω

    1. NG: REPLACE SLIDE DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL SUB-ASSY RH 
    2. OK: Go to next step 
  8. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SLIDE DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL ASSY (CHILD PROTECTION DETECT SWITCH) - POWER SLIDE DOOR ECU RH) 
    1. Disconnect the S23 switch and P27 ECU connectors.
    2. Check the resistance between the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard (Check for open circuit): 

      S23 SWITCH AND P27 ECU CONNECTORS RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      S23-5 - P27-18 (CPSW) Below 1 Ω
    3. Check the resistance between the S23 switch connector and body ground.

      Standard (Check for open circuit): 

    S23 SWITCH CONNECTOR AND BODY GROUND RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

    Terminal No. Specified Condition
    S23-4 - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: REPLACE POWER SLIDE DOOR ECU RH
