Inspection Procedure

HINT:

There is not the hand-held tester, begin with STEP  2.

  1. Check power seat control switch operation. 

    PREPARATION: 

    1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
    2. Turn ignition switch ON and hand-held tester main switch ON.
    3. Select the ACTIVE TEST mode on the hand-held tester.

    CHECK: 

    Check that switch status (ON/OFF) changes on the screen of hand-held tester as the power seat control switch of the vehicle is turned.

    OK: 

    The switch status changes in the same way as the vehicle switch operation. 

    1. OK: Check and replace Power seat position ECU (See  AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS - GS300 & GS430  ). 
    2. NG: Go to next step. 
  2. Check power seat control switch.

    PREPARATION: 

    1. Remove seat.
    2. Disconnect power seat control switch.

    CHECK: 

    Check continuity between terminals when switch operated.

    OK: 

    Driver's seat slide switch:

    Driver's seat front vertical switch:

    Driver's seat lifter switch:

    Driver's seat reclining switch:

    Passenger's front vertical switch:

    Passenger's reclining switch:

    1. NG: Replace power seat control switch. 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  3. Check harness and connectors between power seat position ECU and power seat control switch (See  AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS - GS300 & GS430  ). 
    1. NG: Repair and replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 

    Check and replace power seat position ECU.(See  AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS - GS300 & GS430  ).
