Intake Air Control Valve Assembly No. 3 (ES300)

NOTE: Do not adjust adjusting screw.
  1. With 7.9 in. Hg (27 kPa) of vacuum applied to actuator, check that actuator rod moves.
  2. One minute after applying vacuum, check that actuator rod does not return.
  3. If operation is not as specified, replace intake air control valve assembly. No. 3.
  4. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between each terminal. Resistance should be 37-44 ohms at 68°F (20°C). See Fig 1.
  5. Check that air flows from port "E" to filter.
  6. Apply battery voltage across terminals.
  7. Check that air flows from port "E" to port "F".
  8. Repair or replace as necessary.
