Without Scan Tool

NOTE: When operating each test item, height control OFF indicator light will come on for one second.
  1. Turn ignition switch off. Using special tool (09843-18020), jumper between terminals Ts and E1 of (DLC1). See Figure.
  2. Set each test item to condition 1. See Figure.
  3. Turn ignition switch to ON. Height control OFF indicator light should illuminate for 2 seconds, then flash at .25 second intervals. If height control OFF indicator does not flash, check Ts terminal circuit. See TEST H: Ts TERMINAL CIRCUIT .
  4. Change each test item to condition 2. See Figure.
  5. Using another special tool (09843-18020), jumper between terminals Tc and E1 of (DLC1). See Figure. Keep the connection between Ts and E1 .
  6. Read DTC output by flashing pattern on height control OFF indicator light. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM . Perform appropriate test. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS . If no DTCs are stored, check the Tc terminal circuit. See TEST G: Tc TERMINAL CIRCUIT .
  7. Turn ignition switch off. Disconnect special tools.
