Section 445 (Power Mirror Control System (W/ Memory) - Diagnostics): Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Lexus RX 330. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The power mirror control system with memory function moves the power mirror to the memorized position when the seat memory switch is pressed.

The system is controlled by the seat ECU (position control ECU & switch assy built into the driver side seat) which memory function records the desired position of the mirror and the outer mirror control ECU which commands the mirror motor to move.

When the power mirror control system with memory function is operating normally, pressing the seat memory switch activates the seat ECU to send signals to the outer mirror control ECU via the BEAN, which then commands the mirror motor to move the mirror to the memorized position.
