Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT NAVIGATION ECU 
    1. Disconnect the navigation ECU connector N3.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE TABLE

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      REV - Body ground Ignition switch is ON, Shift lever is moved to R position. 10 to 14 V
      REV - Body ground Ignition switch is ON. Shift lever is moved to any position except R. Below 1 V

    OK: REPLACE NAVIGATION ECU 

    NG: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU - PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the navigation ECU connector N3 and park/neutral position switch assembly connector P1.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE TABLE

      Taster connection Condition Specified condition
      REV - P1-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      REV - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  3. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH 
    1. Disconnect the park/neutral position switch connector P1.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE TABLE

      Taster connection Condition Specified condition
      P1-1 - P1-2 Shift lever is moved to R position. Below 1 Ω
      P1-1 - P1-2 Shift lever is moved to any position except R. 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH 

    OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
