Inspection Procedure

INSPECT WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM
Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING .

OK: Wiper function is normal.

NG: GO TO WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM

OK: Go to Next Step

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

Disconnect the D2 connector from distance control ECU.
Turn the ignition switch to the on position.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE TABLE

Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
D2-3 (WASH) - Body ground	Washer switch off	10 to 14 V
D2-3 (WASH) - Body ground	Washer switch on	Below 1 V
D2-2 (WIP2) - Body ground	Windshield wiper switch HI	10 to 14 V
D2-2 (WIP2) - Body ground	Windshield switch OFF	Below 1 V

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK: REPLACE DISTANCE CONTROL ECU
