Inspection Procedure

HINT:
Before the procedure, check that the multiplex communication system DTCs are not output (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
- READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and turn the hand-held tester main switch on.
- Select the items below in the DATA LIST, and read the displays on the hand- held tester.
COMBINATION SWITCH (TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSY):
OK: Condition sign can be displayed.
- NG: Go to step 2
- OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (SEE PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- INSPECT TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSY (COMBINATION SWITCH)
- Disconnect the connector from the combination switch.
- Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the figure Fig 3 below.
Standard:

- NG: Go to step 3
- OK: REPLACE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSY (COMBINATION SWITCH)
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the figure Fig 5 below.
Standard:
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (IGNITION SWITCH CIRCUIT OR BATTERY CIRCUIT)
- OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GROUND CIRCUIT)
