Inspection Procedure

NOTE: If the ID code box is replaced, register the key and ECU communication ID (See REGISTRATION  ).
  1. INSPECT FUSE (EFI NO. 1) 
    1. Remove the EFI No. 1 fuse from the No. 1 engine room R/B.
    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard resistance: 

      Below 1 Ω 

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ID CODE BOX - BATTERY) 
    1. Disconnect the E32 ID code box connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      ID CODE BOX - BATTERY

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E32-1 (+B) - Body ground 10 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ID CODE BOX - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      ID CODE BOX - BODY GROUND

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E32-8 (GND) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
