Engine Control System - System And Circuit Testing, Active Control Engine Mount System (Including DTC P16A0 - P16A4), On-Vehicle Inspection, Removal, Inspection & Installation: ECM: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION UPPER CENTER BRACE  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE ECM 
    1. Remove the 3 nuts.

    2. Disconnect the 2 ECM connectors and remove the ECM.
      1. Raise the 2 levers while pushing the locks on the 2 levers, and disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.
        NOTE: After disconnecting the connector, make sure that dirt, water and other foreign matter do not contact the connecting part of the connector.

      2. Remove the ECM.
    3. Remove the 4 screws and 2 ECM brackets.
