DTC C1298/98 Linear Solenoid Circuit: Description

The 4WD control ECU receives signals from each sensor to control clutch fluid pressure to limit the center differential operation, distributing torque according to the driving conditions.

DTC No. DTC Detecting Condition Trouble Area
C1298/98
  1. When all of the following are detected:
    • IG1 terminal voltage is 9.5 V or more
    • Operation command current for the linear solenoid (transfer control solenoid) is 3.5 A or more.
    • Open or short in the SLC+ or SLC - circuit continues for 1 second or more.
  • Transfer transmission wire
  • Wire harness
  • Transfer control solenoid assembly
  • 4WD control ECU
