April 5, 2026: LEMON Manuals is launched! Read the announcement.

Inspection Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC
  2. INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT
    1. Initialize the rotation angle sensor and calibrate the torque sensor zero point (See CALIBRATION  ).
  3. RECONFIRM DTC
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Result

      RESULT REFERENCE TABLE

      Result Proceed to
DTCs are still output after performing rotation angle sensor value initialization and steering zero point calibration 3 times.
DTCs are still output after performing rotation angle sensor value initialization and steering zero point calibration once or twice.
      Normal system code is output.

    HINT:

Replace the power steering ECU assembly if DTCs are still output after performing rotation angle sensor value initialization and steering zero point calibration 3 times.

    B: Go to step   2

    C: END

    A: Go To Next Step

  4. REPLACE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY
    1. Replace the power steering ECU assembly (See REMOVAL  ).
  5. CLEAR DTC
  6. INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT
    1. Initialize the rotation angle sensor value and calibrate the torque sensor zero point (See CALIBRATION  ).
  7. RECONFIRM DTC
    1. Check for DTCs.

      HINT:

Replace the power steering gear assembly if DTCs are still output after performing rotation angle sensor value initialization and steering zero point calibration 3 times.

NOTE: If replacing the power steering gear assembly, clear the rotation angle sensor calibration value, initialize the rotation angle sensor value, and calibrate the torque sensor zero point (See CALIBRATION  ).

    C: END

A: REPLACE POWER STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY
