System Description

  1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT 
    FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    Components Function
    Master switch Door control switch on master switch locks / unlocks all doors
    Door control switch Locks / unlocks all doors
    Door courtesy light switch Turns on when door is open and off when door is closed. Outputs door status (open or closed) to main body ECU
    Front door lock LH
    • Built-in motor locks / unlocks door
    • Built-in door control switch position (key-linked) detects door key cylinder (lock or unlock) and outputs data to front door ECU LH
    • Built-in position switch detected door status (locked or unlocked) and outputs data to front door ECU LH. This switch turns off when door is locked and on when door is unlocked
    Front door lock RH
    Rear door lock LH
    Rear door lock RH
    • Built-in motor locks / unlocks door
    • Built-in position switch detected door status (locked or unlocked) and outputs data to door ECU. This switch turns off when door is locked and on when door is unlocked
    Front Door ECU LH
    Front Door ECU RH
    Rear Door ECU LH
    Rear Door ECU RH
    Receives lock / unlock request signal from main body ECU and locks / unlocks door
  2. SYSTEM DESCRIPTION 
    1. The power door lock system locks / unlocks all doors.
      • The door control switch of the master switch uses the LIN line to send lock / unlock request signals to the main body ECU.
      • The driver door key cylinder switch uses the CAN line to send lock / unlock request signals through the front door ECU LH to the main body ECU.
      • The door control switch on the passenger door uses the CAN line to send lock / unlock request signals through the front door ECU RH to the main body ECU.
      • Upon receiving request signals, the main body ECU sends these signals to the door ECUs on each door using the CAN. The door ECUs then lock / unlock each door.

        The door control system has the following functions:

        DOOR CONTROL SYSTEM FUNCTION

        Function Outline
        Manual lock and unlock function Locks / unlocks all doors by door control switch's lock operation (manual operation)
        Key-linked lock and unlock function Linked with door key cylinder
        Locks / unlocks all doors when lock/unlock operation is possible
        Key lock-in prevention function When door control transmitter is in vehicle, performing door lock operation with lock switch on outer handle will not lock door and will sound a buzzer
        Collision door lock release If SRS has been deployed and main body ECU has detected signal that is output from airbag sensor, main body ECU will unlock all doors
        2-step unlock function Unlocks only driver side door by turning key cylinder once and unlocks other doors by turning it twice
        Shift-linked automatic door lock When conditions listed below are all met, this function causes all doors to automatically lock
        • Engine switch on (IG)
        • All doors are closed
        • Shift lever is moved out of P
        • Doors are unlocked
