Inspection Procedure

1. Check that the wireless door lock control functions operate with a transmitter (see OPERATION CHECK  ).

   Result: 

   WIRELESS DOOR LOCK FUNCTION
   
   

   Result	Proceed to
   Wireless door lock control functions operate normally but turn signal light answer-back does not occur	A
   Wireless door lock control functions operate normally but wireless door lock buzzer answer-back does not occur	B
   Wireless door lock control functions do not operate	C

B: Go to step   4 

C: Go to " ONLY WIRELESS CONTROL FUNCTION IS INOPERATIVE  " 

A: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Check that the turn signal lights flash continuously when the hazard warning signal switch is pressed.

   OK: Hazard warning lights flash continuously. 

NG: Go to LIGHTING SYSTEM  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Operate the intelligent tester or Techstream according to the steps on the display and select "ACTIVE TEST" or "Active Test".
   1. Intelligent tester

      MAIN BODY:

      OK: Hazard warning lights condition can be switched by "ACTIVE TEST" or "Active Test 1 

NG: Go to LIGHTING SYSTEM  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )

OK: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK)

1. Disconnect the L16 ECU connector.
2. Disconnect the L30 controller connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance 

   CERTIFICATION ECU-WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER CONTROLLER AND BODY GROUND

   L16-18 (BZR3)-L30-1 (B)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   L16-19 (BZRG)-L30-2 (L)

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP

1. Remove the buzzer controller (see REMOVAL  ).
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance 

   WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER CONTROLLER

   1 - 2	ON --> OFF	See illustration

NG: REPLACE WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER CONTROLLER (See  REMOVAL   ) 

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP

1. Disconnect the A52 ECU connector.
2. Disconnect the A28 buzzer connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard resistance 

   FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK LIGHT ECU WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A52-14 (BZR) - A28-1	Always	Below 1 Ω
   A28-2 - Body ground
   A52-14 (BZR)-A28-1 - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Temporarily replace the wireless door lock buzzer with a new one (see REMOVAL  ).
2. Check that the wireless door lock buzzer sounds by using the transmitter LOCK/UNLOCK switch.

   OK: Wireless door lock buzzer sounds. 

NG: Go to step 8 

OK: END (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER IS DEFECTIVE) 

1. Temporarily replace the front multiplex network light ECU (front controller) with a new one.
2. Check that the wireless door lock buzzer sounds by using transmitter LOCK/UNLOCK switch.

   OK: Wireless door lock buzzer sounds. 

NG: REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU 

OK: END (FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK LIGHT ECU IS DEFECTIVE)
