System Description
This system lock/unlocks the doors remotely. The wireless door lock control system has the following features:
- The certification ECU performs the code identification process and the main body ECU (driver side junction block) controls the door lock. A serial data link is provided for communication between the certification ECU and main body ECU (driver side junction block).
- A key-integrated type transmitter is used and it contains the following 4 switches: LOCK switch, UNLOCK switch, LUGGAGE switch and PANIC switch.
- An LED is mounted on the transmitter to show if the battery is depleted.
- FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS
Component Function Door control transmitter - Contains LOCK, UNLOCK, LUGGAGE and PANIC switches
- Transmits weak electric waves (recognition codes and function codes) to door control receiver
- Illuminates indicator light (LED) during transmission
Door control receiver Receives weak electric waves (recognition codes and function codes) from door control transmitter via electrical key antenna, changes waves to code data Front door courtesy light switch
Rear door courtesy light switchTurns on when door is open and off when door is closed. Outputs door status (open or closed) to main body ECU (driver side junction block) Luggage compartment courtesy light switch Turns on when door is open and off when door is closed. Outputs door status (open or closed) to rear junction block ECU Door lock position switch Transmits door lock positions of each door to main body ECU (driver side junction block) Wireless door lock buzzer Emits beep (answer-back) when doors are locked or unlocked, or luggage compartment door is opened by wireless operation Wireless door lock buzzer controller Controls wireless door lock buzzer sound volume Certification ECU Matches code data with registered code and outputs code data to main body ECU (driver side junction block) - SYSTEM FUNCTION
- The wireless door lock control system has the following functions:DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM FUNCTION
Function Outline All door lock function Pressing LOCK switch locks all doors and retracts outer mirrors All door unlock function Pressing UNLOCK switch unlocks all doors and returns outer mirrors 2-step unlock function Pressing UNLOCK switch once unlocks only driver side door and returns outer mirrors.
Pressing UNLOCK switch twice within 3 seconds unlocks all doors.Luggage compartment door open function Pressing LUGGAGE switch for 1 second or more opens luggage compartment door Power window (and sliding roof*) open function After locking all doors with door control transmitter operation, pressing UNLOCK switch for 3 seconds or more opens all power windows (and sliding roof*) Chattering prevention function If switch is pressed, any switch corresponding operation is performed once. If switch is held down, any switch corresponding operation occurs only once and does not repeatedly activate. Lastly, pressing switch at 1 second intervals, corresponding operation activates once for every press of switch Answer-back function - When doors are locked, turn signal lights flash once. When doors are unlocked, turn signal lights flash twice and wireless warning buzzer sounds twice
- When transmitter is used for opening luggage compartment door or opening/closing power windows and sliding roof, this function causes buzzer to sound to indicate that operation has been completed
Automatic lock function If no doors are opened within 60 seconds after they are unlocked by wireless door lock remote control, all doors will lock again automatically Panic alarm function Holding down PANIC switch for longer than 1 second sets off theft deterrent alarm (security horn sounds, hazard warning lights, headlights, and taillights flash, map light and spot light light up) Fail-safe function Key is in vehicle, doors cannot be locked by LOCK switch Illuminated entry function - Pressing UNLOCK switch causes doom light (map light and rear map light), outer foot lights and foot lights illumination and all door unlock operation to occur simultaneously
- If doors have not been opened, doom light (map light and rear map light) turn off in approximately 15 seconds
Door ajar warning function If any door is open or ajar, pressing LOCK switch will cause wireless door buzzer to sound for about 10 seconds Memory call function If unlock switch of memory call registered transmitter is pressed and driver door is opened, following parts move to memory call position: front seat, front seat belt anchor, steering wheel and outer mirrors Transmitter recognition code registration function Enables 7 modes for registering (writing and storing) transmitter recognition codes in EEPROM HINT:
