Power Supply and Ground Circuit Check for AV Switch

CHECK FUSE

Make sure the following fuses of the AV switch are not blown.

FUSE SPECIFICATION

Terminals		Power source	Fuse No.
Connector	Terminal	Power source	Fuse No.
M98	1	Battery power	29
M98	2	ACC power	4

OK or NG

OK: GO TO 2.

NG: If fuse is blown, be sure to eliminate cause of blown fuse before installing new fuse. Refer to "POWER SUPPLY ROUTING CIRCUIT ".

CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

Disconnect AV switch connector.

Check voltage between connector terminals and ground as follows.

IGNITION SWITCH POSITION CHART

Terminals			Ignition switch position
(+)		(-)	OFF	ACC	ON
Connector	Terminal	(-)	OFF	ACC	ON
M98	1	Ground	Battery voltage	Battery voltage	Battery voltage
M98	2	Ground	0V	Battery voltage	Battery voltage

OK or NG

OK: GO TO 3.

NG: Check harness for open between AV switch and fuse.

CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT

Check continuity between AV switch and ground as follows.

OK or NG

OK: Inspection End.

NG: Repair or replace harness.
