Map Light Assembly: Inspection

- INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
- Check the resistance.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHARTTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1-2 OFF 10 kΩ or higher 1-2 Drivers switch ON Below 1 Ω 1-2 Passengers switch OFF Below 1 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the map light.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in the table below.
- Check the light operation.

- Connect the positive (+) battery lead to terminal 1 and the negative (-) battery lead to terminal 2, then check that the light illuminates.
standard: Light illuminates.
If the light does not illuminate, replace the bulb.
- Connect the positive (+) battery lead to terminal 1 and the negative (-) battery lead to terminal 2, then check that the light illuminates.
- Check the resistance.
