Inspection Procedure

- CHECK CD
- Make sure that the CD is a normal audio CD, and that it is not deformed, flawed, stained, burred or otherwise defective.
OK: Normal audio CD.
HINT:
Translucent or uniquely-shaped CDs cannot be played.
NG: CD IS FAULTY
OK: Go to Next Step
- Make sure that the CD is a normal audio CD, and that it is not deformed, flawed, stained, burred or otherwise defective.
- CHECK THAT CD HAS BEEN INSERTED PROPERLY
- Check whether or not the CD was inserted upside down.
OK: CD was properly inserted.
NG: INSERT CD PROPERLY
OK: Go to Next Step
- Check whether or not the CD was inserted upside down.
- CLEAN CD
- Clean the disc by wiping the CD's data side radially with a soft cloth.
OK: Malfunction disappears.
NOTE: Do not use a conventional record cleaner or antistatic preservative.
OK: CD WAS DIRTY
NG: Go to Next Step
- Clean the disc by wiping the CD's data side radially with a soft cloth.
- REPLACE CD
- Replace the CD with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again.
OK: Malfunction disappears.
NG: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER (See REMOVAL )
OK: CD IS FAULTY
- Replace the CD with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again.
