Steering Pad Switch: Installation

CAUTION: Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing (See PRECAUTION ).
  1. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and the pin and install the steering pad.

    3. Tighten the screw.

      Torque: 2.4 N*m (24 kgf*cm, 21 in.*lbf) 

    4. Connect the connector.
    5. w/ Cruise Control System:
      1. Connect the cruise control switch connector.
  2. INSTALL STEERING PAD  (See INSTALLATION )
  3. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL LOWER COVER LH  (See DISPOSAL )
  4. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL LOWER COVER RH  (See DISPOSAL )
  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Torque: 3.9 N*m (40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf) 

  6. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM )
