Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (RAD NO. 1, ACC, ECU-B) 
    1. Disconnect the RAD NO. 1 fuse from the No. 2 relay block.
    2. Disconnect the ACC fuse from the instrument panel junction block.
    3. Disconnect the ECU-B fuse from the engine room No. 2 relay block.
    4. Measure the resistance of the fuses.

      Standard resistance: Below 1 Ω 

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - BATTERY AND CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the E47 (*2) or E62 (*1) and E76 (*1) receiver connectors.
    2. Measure the voltage and resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E62-1 (B) - Body ground (*1) Always 10 to 14 V
      E62-11 (ACC) - Body ground (*1) Ignition switch ACC 10 to 14 V
      E47-4 (B) - Body ground (*2) Always 10 to 14 V
      E47-3 (ACC) - Body ground (*2) Ignition switch ACC 10 to 14 V
      E76-5 (+B) - Body ground (*1) Always 10 to 14 V
      E76-16 (ACC) - Body ground (*1) Ignition switch ACC 10 to 14 V
      HINT:
      *1: for Premium sound models
      *2: for Standard models

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E62-20 (GND) - Body ground (*1) Below 1 Ω
      E47-7 (GND) - Body ground (*2) Below 1 Ω
      E76-14 (GND) - Body ground (*1) Below 1 Ω
      HINT:
      *1: for Premium sound models
      *2: for Standard models

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
